Medley Air volume - ChrisOfTheOT - 04-16-2023 As I said in the Open Earphones forum, I cannot get a high enough volume when using the optical input. But the sound quality is much better on optical than 3.5mm/RCA, making voices easier to decipher. I have found that touching the speaker on the inside (the side that points in towards the ear when worn), increases the volume significantly. Also, if I bend my ear forwards (towards the speaker when worn), this increases the volume significantly too. Presumably, this simply causes more sound to be directed/deflected into the ear - even though there are no speaker 'holes' on the rear-pointing surfaces of the device. No idea why this is so, but I can't sit there holding my ears for an hour-and-a-half while the film runs... I tried putting a goodly lump of Blu Tack on the speaker parts - and this worked quite well! (But it is messy and fiddly, and gets in the way when putting the headset into the charger: not ideal.) I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has got a better solution. PLEASE!? Cheers, Chris |
