I recently bought the Oasis Plus and it's been great. I use the "TX" (transmitter) function to connect my Bluetooth headphones to my TV, but I'm still not sure what the "RX" function does

RX means it can work as an audio receiver. Switch it to "RX" and connect it with your wired speaker, then pair it with your mobile phone via bluetooth. Then you can get the sound on the wired speaker.
