We will improve the user experience of the base light with Orbit Plus, ETR fall, 2023.(12-24-2022, 05:53 AM)AvantreeMarketing Wrote: Sorry for that, guys. If that bothers you much, please contact us for free upgrade once our new version launched. The new version comes with a HDMI port also for HDMI audio input.
By the way, is there any other features you would like to see in the Orbit Plus in Q1 next year?
I don't mind the Orbit base light itself, I think it's a cool design feature. But it's extremely annoying when it is flashing (no audio). I have to completely turn off the transmitter when I know I won't be continuously listening to something (I use this on my desktop).
Instead, I think the base light should operate like so:The Orbit is a fantastic product, perhaps one of a kind in the market. I had all sorts of trouble using other bluetooth transmitters, just pairing a headset was a chore. The Orbit's screen interface makes pairing and connecting so much easier with clear indications that something is paired and a menu to easily select which paired device I want to connect to. With that said, I hope Avantree could at least consider the following for the Orbit plus:
- Have an option to completely disable it -- there's a lot of people who prefer not to have a whole bunch of LEDs lighting up on their peripherals
- Turn on when it is connected to a bluetooth headset (steady glow, no flashing, regardless of the input audio signal)
- Turn off when no bluetooth headset is connected to it
It's cool that you're offering us to contact you for a free upgrade when the new version launches. Has this happened before with other products? I just hope it's not an empty promise. I'll hold you to it when the time comes. I would be even more impressed with Avantree if this happens.
- Improved base light behavior mentioned above
- Support for Bluetooth 5.2 / LE Audio / LC3, LC3plus codecs
- Backlight on the buttons
- Adjustable brightness levels of the various lights
Orbit Plus has more to boast about:
* HDMI Audio input option on top of current optical and RCA input;
* Remote control so it is easier for users with earbuds without volume button;
* Bluetooth 5.3 (LE Audio / LC3 codec support version will be in 2024 as not many products on the market coming with this feature yet.)
* Backlight and brightness of lights are unfortunately not in the list for this coming upgrade. But we will definitely keep this in mind.
It is our standard to offer free unit to customers who made great suggestions for our products. You put time and effort into this and that's what you deserve.
Yes, pls contact us again with a screenshot of this in June and we will make sure you will be one of the few early birds got hold of the Orbit plus.
